Sustainable Development Networking Programme (SDNP)
The Sustainable Development Network Programme (SDNP) is a global initiative launched by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in response to Agenda 21, which articulated the need for improved information dissemination to support sustainable development. The program is geared towards facilitating communication between users and suppliers of sustainable development information in developing countries.

The Indian Chapter of SDNP is being implemented by the Environmental Information System (ENVIS) Ministry of Environment and Forests in collaboration with India-Canada Environment Facility (ICEF) .20 ENVIS Centres have been identified as network partners in the project, with the objective of disseminating information on specialised subject areas relevant to sustainable development. The Institute of Ocean Management (IOM), Anna University is coordinating this project. The project will be implemented over a period of two years.

The ENVIS Centre at C P R Environmental Education Centre (CPREEC) has been identified as the SDNP Partner on the thematic area of Ecological Heritage. CPREEC under the project has developed a separate SDNP web page on ecological heritage with a linkage to the ENVIS website. The Centre will also publish annual SDNP newsletter.
